Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Spool Music ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Spool Music is a local music player application for iOS devices that:

• Plays audio files stored on your device
• Organizes your music into playlists
• Provides album artwork through the iTunes Search API
• Supports playlist import/export in M3U format
• Operates entirely offline with local data storage

License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install the App on iOS devices that you own or control
• Use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes

User Responsibilities

Content Ownership

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right to play, store, and organize the music files you use with Spool Music. You must:

• Own the music files or have proper licenses to use them
• Comply with all applicable copyright laws
• Respect the intellectual property rights of artists and copyright holders

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or modify any proprietary notices from the App
• Use the App to infringe on the rights of others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App

Third-Party Content

The App uses the iTunes Search API to retrieve album artwork. This content is provided by Apple Inc. and is subject to Apple's terms of service. We do not claim ownership of any album artwork or music metadata retrieved from Apple's services.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

We do not warrant that:

• The App will meet your requirements
• The App will be compatible with all devices or iOS versions
• Album artwork will be available for all music files
• The App will function without interruption or errors

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Damage to your device or data

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

Data and Privacy

All data generated by the App is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information.

You are responsible for:

• Backing up your playlists and data
• Securing your device
• Understanding that deleting the App will delete all associated data

Updates and Changes

We may update the App from time to time to:

• Add new features
• Fix bugs
• Improve performance
• Maintain compatibility with iOS

We may also modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.

Upon termination:

• Your license to use the App ends immediately
• You must delete the App from all devices
• All provisions that should survive termination will survive

Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
• Apple has no obligation to provide support for the App
• Apple is not responsible for any product warranties
• Apple is not liable for any claims relating to the App
• You must comply with Apple's Terms of Service

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
